1. Information Stored in the App
Authenticator is designed to keep your sensitive information private. Authentication secrets, verification codes, passwords, recovery codes, folders, favorites, and other vault content are stored locally on your device using Apple security technologies, including the iOS Keychain.
Manimau Studios does not intentionally collect or access the contents of your vault.
2. Password Health
When you use Password Health, the App may check a privacy-preserving representation of a password against known breach data. Your original password is not sent to the breach-checking service.
Password Health results are provided for informational purposes and may not detect every security issue.
3. Purchases and Subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Manimau Studios may receive limited information from Apple, such as subscription status or entitlement information, only as needed to unlock paid features and restore purchases.
4. Device and Technical Information
The App may receive limited technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or improve the App, such as app version, device type, operating-system version, and crash information. This information is not used to access your vault contents.
5. Sharing of Information
Manimau Studios does not sell your personal information or vault contents. Limited information may be shared only when necessary to operate the App, process purchases, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or protect users and the App.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Vault information remains on your device until you delete it, reset the App, or remove the App. Some information may remain in device backups depending on your Apple settings.
Deleting the App may permanently remove locally stored data. You are responsible for keeping separate recovery codes or backups where appropriate.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by the App. However, no device, storage method, or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should protect your device passcode, enable Face ID or Touch ID where appropriate, keep your device updated, and store recovery information safely.
8. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law.
9. Changes to This Policy
Manimau Studios may update this Privacy Policy when the App, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The updated version will be posted with a revised date.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information that Manimau Studios controls. Because most sensitive information is stored only on your device, Manimau Studios may not be able to access, recover, or delete that information for you.
